Shaun Lim

Shaun Lim is the Chairman of Aolani. Together with the Board and management team, Shaun shapes the company’s long-term strategy, strategic partnerships, institutional capital, and regional expansion. As part of his role, he also partners with governments, sovereign wealth funds, global technology companies, and institutional investors to support Aolani’s growth as a leading AI infrastructure company in Southeast Asia.

Shaun is also the Co-Managing Director of K3, a Singapore-based investment firm that invests in and partners with visionary founders building category-leading technology companies. K3’s portfolio includes global leaders such as OpenAI, SpaceX, ByteDance, and Palantir, alongside regional innovators including Grab, MiniMax, X Square Robot, Moonshot AI, Arcab and Advance Intelligence Group. Through his work at K3, Shaun has built strategic relationships across AI infrastructure, foundation models, robotics, semiconductors and enterprise software, to create an ecosystem that complements Aolani’s long-term growth.

Prior to K3, Shaun was Co-President of Hopu Investments, where he led technology investments and portfolio management across companies including DJI, XtalPi, Iluvatar, Arm China, Appier, GLP and Perennial. He also led the HOPU-ARM Innovation Fund in partnership with Arm, focused on next-generation deep technology investments.

Shaun held senior leadership positions at institutional finance and private equity at Blackstone, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and ABN AMRO Private Equity, as well as co-founded two technology companies in China with Pico Group, where he served as CEO.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
